Pedro Jarque Krebs
is an award winning photographer born in Lima, Peru. He graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris with a degree in Philosophy. In 1983 he won the first prize of the Municipality of Lima for black and white photography. Since that time, Pedro Jarque Krebs has received more than 200 prizes and recognitions internationally. Among these are the Sony World Photography Awards five times winner (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022), the Siena Creative Awards (Italy) four times winner (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), Bird Photographer of the year 2018 overall winner (UK), Oasis Photo Contest (Italy) 1st Prize in 2017, Top 10 Photographers of the world at Sente Antu award in China in 2017. In 2021 he was a finalist in the prestigious Hasselblad Masters competition. In 2023 he was the overall winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award in the reFocus Awards competition.
He was nominated “Photographer of the month” by National Geographic France on October 2016. In 2019 the prestigious German publishing house teNeues has published a book of his work entitled “Fragile”, which received several international awards, among them the 1st prize of the International Photography Awards.
